I called the principal at the Balmer School today and we talked for a bit. She seems great and wants to do the internship, which is very exciting to me.
We will meet on Wednesday afternoon to begin! I will be doing the 300 hours outside of my school hours, but she said she has team meetings and such after school hours where I can shadow her, and I can get in a lot of hours this summer.
She has two administrator licenses (Elementary and Secondary) and is going for her doctorate right now in Educational Leadership. She also loves the curriculum part of her job, which is the main reason I want to be a principal.
I'm excited to begin!
