Yesterday we celebrated President's Day which meant no school again. Sam has the whole week off so he is working construction in Boston this week, which meant Amelia was able to go into Boston and spend the day with her grandmother, which she was very excited about. She thought it was the best day she has ever spent there. They went to the Science Museum as part of their fun.
To make up for all of the snow days so far, our school took away two professional days and made them student days instead. This works great for me because I never have anywhere for my children to go on professional days.
This week I'm doing a presentation at school on Reader's Workshop, hoping to get it going next year for K-5.
