Halloween

This year we went on a different route because Sam wanted to stop at his co-worker's house.  He lives just a short walk away.  As we arrived at his street, our neighbors (who Sam has barely talked to and I have never talked to) pulled up next to us.  They got out, we did introductions.  Turns out they had been following us. :)  They are in the process of adopting two adorable little boys and they thought it would be good for the boys to trick or treat with neighbors.  We had a great time with them.  The new route we took had lots of kids and lots of houses.  The downside was the kids received less candy because normally we are the only trick or treaters, but I think they'll survive.

It was really nice getting to know our neighbors.  They've lived next to us for four years.  How embarrassing that we are just  meeting them now, and funny how having kids makes all the difference.  I'm sure we will be seeing a lot more of them now.
