Toby has the most AR points in the 3rd grade, over 200 in this quarter. He reads constantly and he now also reads very fast. He's doing very well this year. His teacher is patient, with high expectations, and yet willing to follow the accommodations on his IEP. He's doing very well with his spelling tests this year also, in big part thanks to the spelling app I mentioned before (and of course his three times a week tutoring sessions!)
Lucy was asked to go on Orchestra Tour this year. This is very exciting news. She has been working very hard on her cello practicing and her orchestra teacher is impressed with her. She'll be heading to Lancaster, PA for 6 days in March with the MS/HS orchestra students. They'll play at various venues, help out at a soup kitchen and with youth programs, and have some time to explore the area.

Yeah! I'm so proud of both your kids. I'm really excited for Lucy's tour. One of the coolest parts about being a musician is being able to bless others with your talents. I'm so grateful she'll be able to meet some new people, see how life is somewhere else and share her gifts. :)
