I've taken on a new role in my life. Yes, the last thing I needed was a new role, but when no one else was volunteering and the coach said that you had to have good communication and organizational skills, I went for it. I am the official team manager of the Lidco Electric hockey team. The biggest plus is that you don't have to know anything about hockey!
I send emails, coordinate events, and do any other paperwork things that need to be done. So far it's manageable...and I feel like an official sports person. :)
