I just finished reading The Opposite of Loneliness: Essays and Stories I don't remember where I got the recommendation from, but I'm happy I did. This collection of essays and stories were written by a Yale graduate who died five days after graduation in a car crash. She was a writer, English major, and her parents and professors put her works together in this book.
Excellent writing. She writes with optimism and thoughtfulness, and parts are definitely sad as you read because you know the ending and she did not.
