Career

I have known for quite awhile now that the next thing I want to do in my career is get my Elementary Administrator's license.  There are two paths to getting the license, one involves classes and money, one involves an internship with a licensed administrator.

I was planning on going the classes route starting in January, but the program I was going to go through stopped offering the licensure option.  The other class options I have found are very expensive and quite time-consuming.

I contacted the NPS superintendent last week to see about doing an internship with one of her elementary principals.  She forwarded my email onto them and I heard back from one on Friday.  I'm going to give her a call today and we'll see where it goes from there.

It's a 300 hour internship and it will have to be done with me working full-time at WCS, so obviously it will take some time and some finagling, but I'm excited to think that I might be close to beginning and very excited to be heading toward my next career goal.
