Christmas Happenings

Monday was my first day feeling back to normal, thankfully.

The engine on Sam's Honda went on Sunday evening.  I'm home this week so Sam headed to work on Monday with the van and we brought the car to the dealership late last night.  Today they confirmed engine and we decided to put in a new (used) engine.  The bad thing is that we have to pay for the new engine.  The good thing is that it is going to take a week and they gave us a Honda Odyssey for a loaner vehicle.  We drove it around the block twice tonight just for fun, you know, minivan fun.  I know there are many people who can't relate to this... :)

We've been doing lots of baking and relaxing and getting caught up on things the past two days. I made the puff pastry "waffles" that have been circulating on Facebook last night.  Take a sheet of puff pastry, put in your choice of fillings, wrap it up, put it in the belgian waffle make.  Delicious.  The kids did a mixture of marshmallows, bananas, and chocolate chips.  I did blue cheese and bacon.

Here are some photos of what we have been up to this month:

Toby's teachers sent him a "Happy-Gram", listing some of the good things they've notice about Toby lately, what a wonderful, thoughtful idea.

Our December meal from Mary M. was delicious, and even included cranberry punch!
