Peshawar

I didn't talk to one person yesterday who mentioned the school shooting in Pakistan.  Is it because it feels "commonplace"?  Is it because it happened in Pakistan?  Is it because talking about it normalizes it?  Lessens the horror?  Even my twitter feed was pretty quiet.

I read the news stories in the afternoon and felt sick.  This world seems so very scary.  If children in school are not safe, who is?  I don't have any profound thoughts, but know that my prayers are with the families and the rescued children.  Does Pakistan have the resources to meet the emotional needs of the children who survived?

My heart is hurting.
