Lucy has just started basketball. She has practices on Mondays nights, Saturday morning, and games on Saturday afternoons. She'll be starting orchestra tour practices on Monday nights soon. Toby is still busy with hockey. He's enjoying it, although he would like to win a game! Amelia finished soccer and was signed up for basketball, but she wouldn't go out into the gym the first practice, so I withdrew her from that. I don't have any interest in cajoling her onto the gym floor every Saturday morning.
I finally switched all the summer clothes out. The kids are allowed to wear shorts until Nov. 1 and Toby did, even though it's been pretty cold these past few days. But now he has pants, real shoes, and coats. I didn't have to buy my children any clothes for fall and winter. They were given so many things from friends. Amelia has so many clothes it is embarrassing. I am very thankful, and she's been enjoying a whole "blingy" wardrobe that I would have never bought for her.
Report cards are due this week, so that's an added thing to do, along with meetings at work most days after school. There will be some big changes at school next year, lots to think about...
My class went to Lincoln and Concord last week. We went to the Minuteman Visitor Center in Lincoln and watched their free show/video. It was amazing. If you haven't been, you should. We walked to the Paul Revere Capture Site and drove to Old North Bridge, where we had a picnic lunch. It was a great, relaxed field trip.
Amelia still doesn't seem 100% physically. I keep watching her for signs of pneumonia again. She's coughing, nose running, but nothing consistent. She does seem worn out though.
I just bought the same hair dye that I am allergic to because I can't come up with a better solution. I'm going to just not leave it on as long and see what happens.
