Caramel Apple Cheesecake Bars

I made these to bring to work on Thursday.  They were delicious, if you don't mind the 3.5 sticks of butter.  (I doubled the recipe.)  They weren't a lot of work, per se, but they did make quite a mess with dishes, due to the four layers.  I think I will make them for a Thanksgiving dessert.
