Winding Down

School ends on Thursday which means the school year is winding down, but along with that comes many different tasks that must be completed.  The end is in sight though and I am ready for it.  We are going to have a fun 3.5 days at school with a field trip to the zoo on Wednesday, cleaning the room throughout the week, and doing some community activities.  I love that I am keeping 13 of these students next year.  The transition for them is going to be so easy.  I will also be getting 7 new students so I need to get materials and information together for them.

School ends on Thursday and Saturday morning we head out to Disney for 9 days.  I think I might be more excited than the kids and they are very excited.  It will just be so nice to get away and not have to think about school or my normal life for a period of time.  Amelia will celebrate her 5th birthday there and she is excited about the plane.  The last time she was on one she was almost 2 and she doesn't remember it at all, of course.  My parents will be there, along with Matt, Rachel and Liam.  It should be great!

Tomorrow we teach Children's Church for the 3rd week in a row, then Sam heads off to a Mission Committee cookout with Lucy and I am taking Amelia and Toby to two separate birthday parties.  I'm feeling tired because I had a sleepover at the school last night for my class.  It was a lot of fun and something the students will definitely remember.  I got a lot more sleep than I thought I would and enjoyed the time with the parents who stayed over also.

This week I made Spinach Artichoke Pasta - Pioneer Woman  It was delicious and I finished it up for leftovers today.

Toby enjoyed trying out the summer hockey clinic and will go again when we get back from Disney.  Lucy finished up swimming and passed her final level.

Amelia is done with school now and we are not, so I have a hodge podge of things worked out for her this week, but she will enjoy them all.  Time with my mom, time in my class, going over a friends, and "helping" her teacher in the 3 year old class.  She will also go on our zoo field trip on Wednesday which I am excited about.

Sa m was told he would be observed two weeks ago and he is still waiting for the observation, but meanwhile he is getting very good at writing lesson plans. :)  He is enjoying his job quite a bit and this will be the first vacation he has ever gone on that he will be paid for (at least partly)!  He will still have a week of school when we get back and then back to construction for the summer!
