I'm been moving along a list of things to blog about for about a month now. Easter is on that list, so obviously it's been a long time. Lucky for you many of the things on the list no longer seem worth blogging about (even by my broad standards) so I'll just mention a few things and hopefully feel like I can blog regularly again. I'm using my phone more and more for pictures and putting them on Facebook which seems to mean less blogging.
1. Sam and I have been talking about cancelling cable for a month or so and when the bill came yesterday, I called and cancelled. We rarely watch tv and saving 26 dollars a month seems worth it. Of course I then remembered that I watch Call the Midwife on Sunday nights right now, so I thought I would have to find it online, but I just turned it on and cable still seems to be working fine...maybe it will work until we return the box? I'm assuming they actually shut something off... (ETA: Turns out it was the Season Finale tonight so guess I'm all set with the tv until next year.)
2. I read Pastrix: The Cranky, Beautiful Faith of a Sinner & Saint a few weeks ago. I enjoyed it, mainly because I really like books written by "liberal" Christian women. Right now I am reading Strings Attached: One Tough Teacher and the Gift of Great Expectations.
3. We watched American Hustle and Dallas Buyers Club, most recently. I have nothing to say about either of them. I go over Jenny's every Sunday night to watch Season 7 of Mad Men, as she gets the channel and I don't. It's been a disappointing season. The first three episodes were horribly boring. The last two were better, but I definitely think it is time for the show to end. Two more episodes this year and then 6 or 7 more next year. The next season of Orange is the New Black is being released on June 6th and I am looking forward to it.
