For my birthday in January my brother gave me a gift certificate to Eastern Standard and said we could have his condo for the night while he would go sleep over a friend's house. I saved it until our anniversary weekend so we could use it then. We celebrated 16 years on the 16th, although I actually celebrated my anniversary with my friend Jess on the 16th at Mezcal (which was delicious and so enjoyable due to company). Sam and I headed off for our overnight on the 17th. My parents took Lucy and Toby. Lowell and Barbara took Amelia. She had packed her bag almost three weeks in advance she was so excited.
My brother dropped us off at the Public Garden and we spent the afternoon walking around, enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery.
In the morning my brother came back and we all headed to Flour bakery. I have a list of places in Worcester and Boston that I want to go to and this was on it, so I was excited to go. Ultimately, it was very crowded, but my coffee and almond meringue were very good. My brother remembered that the SoWa area of Boston has markets on Sundays so we headed there and enjoyed a pleasant morning wandering through various vendors and shops. Sam got dumplings from a food truck and I got cold noodles with peanut sauce and pork. Yum!
Lowell and Barbara took Amelia downtown so we met up with them for a few minutes at the Frog Pond.
We were 40 minutes early to the movie, ideal.

We enjoyed spending time with Matt and we are thankful for his lovely gift!

We picked up all the kids and headed home. We had such a wonderful time, 24 hours filled with fun. It was so nice to spend time in th
