My 37th Birthday

Another unexpected gift - from Elizabeth.  I've been wanting these books for a long time!

I'm not supposed to blog today but bear with me as I go over my birthday celebrations.

Really it started on Friday night when Jenny gave me an unexpected gift, the friend bracelet from Alex and Ani.  I love it!

This morning when I woke up, I had an Amazon gift card in my email from my cousin Katherine which again was unexpected!

When I got to school, I already had four cards in my mailbox.  June provided my birthday treat for the day.  (We all pick someone at the beginning of the year.)  My favorite saltine chocolate things, a marshmallow chocolate bar dessert, and hummus with delicious toasted pita bread.

The community at our school is great.  Everyone goes out of their way to make sure to wish you a Happy Birthday and I definitely appreciated it!

I told the students I was 104 today and one said that I look like I'm 22.  Others were saying I was 42, so I decided to stick with the 22 compliment.

Lucy and Amelia gave me cards.  Lucy says, "and dinner isn't always gourmet, more peanut butter and jelly than filet mignon" but she switched it around because she wishes our meals were less gourmet. :)

My parents sent me an Edible Arrangement and a box of dipped fruit to the school.  It was delicious!  A mom brought me an amaryllis.

My grandmother gave me this sign to hang up - B for Blessings, Bowlers, and Birthdays

My in-laws gave me a fair trade necklace that I love.

Sam brought home this Edible Arrangement which I am saving for tomorrow.  I got sushi for dinner and Lucy's basketball practice was cancelled, so we were home at 5:45 instead of 7!

Nothing to do with my birthday, but yesterday Lucy and Amelia got out all of my Barbie stuff and are busy turning the living room into a Barbie house.  Do you recognize any of it?  I still have everything that I ever received as a child, as far as Barbies go (although most of the things are actually Heart Family)

This is "N" week at school and she brought home a noodle necklace.

So many cards...I feel special.  Thank you!
