Last Visit to Higgin's Armory (and some other things)

Lucy got an ice cream maker for Christmas.  It's a ball that you roll around for 30 minutes to make the ice cream.  It was a lot of work.  We were all tired out and ready for ice cream after 30 minutes.  The ice cream was good, but not sure it was worth the effort.

Today I took Toby and Amelia for a final visit to Higgin's Armory.  (Lucy is spending a few days with my sister.)  Toby found it very sad and walked around sighing over things.

Amelia really wanted a picture in front of this.

I've never seen so many people at the Armory.

We also were invited to open play at Zoinks today with a family who has a child in Amelia's class and triplets in 4th grade, so we went there before Higgin's.  It was a fun play day!

I also went to AAA and got Grammy S.'s car insured for us.  She has given it to us and we will use it when one of our cars break which they are bound to do sometime soon.  Her car is 13 years old but has less than half the miles our other vehicles have.  It will be good to have a back up car to give us a little more time to look for a new vehicle when we need one.

I love these mice and their matchboxes. Maileg Mice

I also finally went to Helen's Bakery in Worcester.  I've been looking for a local bakery to get bread from.  I bought a loaf of their wheat, which is half whole wheat flour/half bread flour and we'll see if Sam likes it.  If so I think we will switch to buying our bread there weekly.

Tomorrow night we are celebrating New Year's with Jenny and Shawn.  The pizza order has been placed for the kids and Sam, and the rest of us are getting sushi.  Yum!

I've started working on my goals for 2014.  They are written down, but now they need to be actually work through and planned.

I received The Book of Common Prayer for Christmas.  I think I'm going to like have a book of set prayers for specific occasions.

Now, I'm off to grocery shop.  Tomorrow we pick up Lucy and bring her for a contacts fitting.  She is very excited!
