It was in the 20's today with a wind advisory and we spent the afternoon at OSV. My parents have friends visiting from Costa Rica so we all went to show them an 1830's town. It was cold, very cold.
Sam made delicious buffalo wings tonight.
Amelia slept until noon on Saturday and then didn't eat much, but she woke up at 7:00 this morning and her first words were, "I'm hungry."
No one else is sick yet and hopefully that will continue to be true.
Yesterday I went to the annual craft fair at Shepherd Hill and bought a felted wool bracelet which I love. I also picked up a few stocking stuffers.
We watched The Croods last night and had family movie night.
I took the kids to Whitinsville and we drove around the town to 26 landmarks, which I photographed. I developed the pictures and we will use them this week in school to create maps of the town.
Lucy and Sam went ice skating at the rink Friday night.
Lucy has her first basketball game on Saturday.
Lucy and Toby attended the school play "Get Smart" on Thursday and enjoyed it.
In Hockey class, Toby learned how to get up quickly from the ice and how to go down on one knee to block and then get up. He has put a cup on his wishlist because he is worried that the puck will get " the part that hurts most on a boy."
Toby is missing school tomorrow to go to Boston with my parents and their visitors. They are visiting Harvard and Fenway.
It also means I have to cancel his physical tomorrow, but Lucy will still have hers.
I went grocery shopping for Thanksgiving tonight. I love making food for Thanksgiving. It's my favorite holiday.
My hands are freezing as I am typing and tomorrow is going to be 12 degrees when I get to school.
We are making pumpkin pies and applesauce in school this week.
My favorite author, Anne Lamott, has a new book out.
