I have had my one day wear contact in my eyes since Friday morning and they are still going strong, but I will take them out tonight. It makes me feel like a normal person, waking up able to see.
Last night we attended a benefit for a family at our church who is in our small group. Their 3 year old son was recently diagnosed with leukemia.
There were 440 people there, with a live auction, silent auction, great dinner, music, etc. I still can't believe how much work must have gone into the evening, but we enjoyed it and can't wait to hear how much money was raised.
This morning I heard strange noises on the stairs. Toby was sliding down them. Turns out last night he had hurt his ankle playing a game and it was still hurting this morning, along with being swollen.
We went to urgent access where they did x-rays. No sign of a break, but the radiologist will read them tomorrow. They think it is just sprained and gave him an air cast and a week off from PE.
I used a wheelchair at the doctor's and he thought that was great. They wanted to give him crutches, but I said no. He was disappointed because he thought it would be great to have those also.
