Heat

I can't remember the last time I blogged and don't feel  like looking at the blog to find out.

The past two night we have not been home before 7, which means that the kids are going to bed late and the schedule is thrown off.  Now that I don't pick Amelia up at the babysitters, we seem to be spending a lot of time at the school in the afternoons.

Sam just got invited to go to a Bruins' game with our neighbors tomorrow night.  Luckily my mom can watch the kids because on top of working, doing my planning, working for my father, and tutoring a student and Maria, I am making the apple pies at the school tomorrow night.  It's a fun night and I enjoy it, just wish that was all I had to do.  So the kids will sleep at my mom's until I am done.  I'll pick them up and bring them home and then back to school we'll go on Friday.

I cannot wait until this weekend.  We only have two basketball practices, one soccer practice, and a birthday party.  Easy peasy!

It's also 57 degrees in my house right now.  We might need to turn the heat on this weekend, although I thought it would be great to wait until November.

I've been leaving the door to the parakeets' cage open lately with a blanket in front when we aren't home, but the birds always stay in the cage.  Tonight when we came home, Sunshine was in the kitchen.  Toby forgot to put the blanket back on this morning after feeding them.  It seems like he'd be more likely to come out now that he tried it once, but we'll see.

My usual morning routine is I get up, wake up Lucy and Toby, and head in the shower.  I wake Amelia up after my shower and get her dressed and she eats breakfast in the car.  Today I got up later than usual and so I opened Amelia's door on my way downstairs.  She got up, got herself dressed, and ate her breakfast while I was in the shower.  Fabulous!  I'm going to try it tomorrow also!
