Had a very lovely morning. We went to the Christian American school's holiday fair. Felt like we were at the WCS holiday fair. They had rooms with crafts, baked goods, and Christmas presents for purchase. They had all these hot cocoa gifts packs and such meant for the Home Goods store in America, but someone from the school knows someone at the factory, so they provided all these things. Nice Chinese gifts also. Got Toby a My First Bible for his birthday that is in Chinese and English. Then they had chili hot dogs, chips, and soda. Delicious! We bought a tiny wooden nativity scene. I was wishing we had one last night. It's adorable.
They also had a pet room where they were selling tiny baby rabbits for 15 yuan. About 2 dollars. They were beautiful, but we resisted the urge. Turns out there is a street - Pet Street in Qingdao that is full of pet shops with millions of rabbits, so if we ever want one we will go there. It's very strange in China how shops all flock together with like items. There is Pet Street, there is Tool Street, there is Fabric Street, etc. So you just go to that street and the prices are extremely low due to the competition.
Anyway, had a nice time. Saw a lot of people that we know from church. The majority of people at our church work at or their kids go to this school. It's like living in a small town while being in a big city.
So, Sam is heading out for the afternoon. I'm going out later tonight with Joanna. We are teaching Sunday School tomorrow. Feeling very Christmassy, so so so excited to go home!!!!!
